The Hancock County Commissioners voted to reject $3.9 million in bids for construction of the new county garage designed to replace the building destroyed during last year's wind storm according to the Courier. County Engineer Christopher Long, frustrated by the vote, said he had mechanics working in a lean-to, without heat and no other way to keep the men out of the weather. Four alternative plans were given to the engineers office but Long likes the original plan the best. So far there has been no public discussion on the alternative plans.
