Tight Reign On City Budget To Be Maintained

Thursday, March 21, 2013                                 4:20 AM

In an address to Findlay Kiwanis Club members Wednesday, Findlay Mayor Lydia Mihalik said city government will continue get smaller as small but steady growth is predicted in revenues. Mihalik stated that she hates the term downsizing preferring to use the term "right-sizing" according to the Courier. She said state legislators said the city can expect to see a small increase in local government funding, from two to three percent, over the next couple of years. The city still expects to operate the general fund at about a $1.6 million deficit even with the 20 layoffs in the Fire Department and the closing of Station #4.
