Thursday, March 21, 2013                                 4:45 AM

Fostoria City Council heard a proposal for a multimillion dollar upgrade at the wastewater treatment plant. The project involves replacing two settling tanks that allow solids to settle out for further processing. The project is estimated to cost around $4.5 million according to the Advertiser Tribune. The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Division of Environmental and Financial Assistance would fund the project through a low interest revolving loan program. A public input meeting is set for April 16 before the regular council meeting.
