With the latest round of flooding behind us Findlay Mayor Lydia Mihalik took time to comment on how the city responded today. Mihalik says she was happy to see that most people took the advice to evacuate the Springlake subdivision and the Eastview and Westview neighborhoods... (Audio Below)
Mihalik said the latest high waters reinforce the need to continue forward with flood mitigation, citing not just safety issues but also economic problems... (Audio Below)
Even though the flood came at the same time as the Army Corps of Engineers announcing they would not pay for half of the latest round of flood studies, Mihalik said many people in high places are still focused on Findlay when we get wet weather... (Audio Below)
The mayor added that she and other officials will be meeting today to review damage estimates, and they are also keeping an eye on rain forecasted for this week.
