It's been an up-and-down year for restaurants on a national scale, but closer to home it seems to be nothing but good news. Findlay-Hancock County Alliance Economic Development Director Tony Iriti says there's a reason for that, we like to eat out here... (Audio Below)
Iriti says new rankings from Nielsen show Findlay as fifth in the nation for restaurant sales per capita...
Restaurants based in the region like Beer Barrel and La Scola have located to Findlay, and Iriti says national chains are looking at the city again... (Audio Below)
He added that it looks like a new restaurant will locate in the former Longhorn Steakhouse as well.
While that's good news if you're hungry, Iriti says it's also good news for local employers trying to draw young talent to the area... (Audio Below)
Iriti says a good number of diverse and quality restaurants can also be used to draw new businesses to town, because they'll look for quality of life indicators like the number of places to eat.
