Thursday, April 18, 2013 - 5:07 AM

Helping veterans get a college education is the topic of a conference in the nation's capital this week, and the presidents of two local colleges are in attendance. The University of Findlay's Dr. Katherine Fell and Owens Community College's Mike Bower are taking part in the effort to transition veterans from the battlefield to the classroom. The conference is being put together by Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown. Both UF and Owens are rated as 2013 Military-Friendly Schools by G.I. Jobs Magazine for their work with returning veterans.
