Drug Treatment Center Planned For Hancock County

Tuesday, May 14, 2013 - 5:05 AM

A treatment center for drug addiction is in the works for Hancock County, and we could see things move very quickly on the project. The Courier reports the Hancock County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services is looking at a former church on County Road 95 as a possible location for the center. Director Precia Stubby tells the newspaper the asking price is only $150,000, and ADAMHS is also working on securing grants to help pay to renovate the facility. If everything comes together, work on a treatment center could begin in January.
