Fire Department Explains Role In The Community

Findlay Fire Department personnel spoke at Monday's Rotary Club meeting to explain its role in serving the public beside fighting fires. Captains Jeff Rampe and Josh Eberle explained that they do allot of interaction with kids but felt it was time to start marketing the fire department to the adults according to the Courier. The department has been under the microscope, having the city's second costliest operating budget, which is at $6.7 million this year. Rampe and Eberle explained  the department is continually training in various forms of rescue, hazmat situations, physical conditioning and fire prevention education, among others.
