JobsOhio Keeps An Eye On Cooper Purchase

Wednesday, June 19, 2013                                    5:00 AM

Ohio's new job creation agency wants to make sure Cooper remains in Findlay. John Minor, president and chief investment officer for JobsOhio, told the Courier that the recent purchase of Cooper Tire and Rubber Company by Apollo Tyres of India is on the agency's radar. He said this would be part of JobsOhio's effort in reaching out to companies, finding out what their needs are and make them want to stay in Ohio. Cooper CEO Roy Armes has said Apollo has no intention of shutting down any Cooper facilities or moving the headquarters from Findlay however, the buyout still makes many fearful of an eventual move.
