EPA Grant Money To Help With Septic System Upgrades

The Hancock County Health Department has been awarded a nearly $54,000 grant from the U.S. EPA Great Lakes Restoration Fund. The grant will help repair or replace failing home septic systems located in the Lye Creek Water Shed according to the Courier. The grant provides up to $5,000 in cost-sharing funds to residents regardless of income. The watershed is located in Delaware, Madison and Marion Townships within the county. The funds are available until April 30, 2015 or until gone.
